Titan Christian Education ready to make an impact at Shreve Elementary
Over the past decades, school and religion have at times butted heads as some organizations have worked hard
to keep religion out of the school systems.
However, the opportunity for the two to intertwine to a certain degree during the school day will soon be in place in the Triway School District, beginning with the Shreve Elementary third- and fourth-grade classes.
On Wednesday, Oct. 21, there will be an informational meeting to promote Titan Christian Education, a program that has recently been approved by the Triway Board of Education.
The program, which is part of the Release Time Program, will start at Shreve Elementary School with third- and fourth-grade students beginning January 19, 2016. TCE will take place at Shreve Christian Church, meaning it will be off of school grounds, but within easy walking distance for the attending youth.
The faith-based effort has been spearheaded by TCE program director and president Beth Acker and vice-president Kathryn Holmes. Both women… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE.
